Michael J Smalls is a retired US Army Officer in the Signal Corps, veteran sports, news and entertainment broadcast professional with extensive experience working with all major sports television and cable networks and national governing bodies (NGO's) of sport worldwide. He began his career in live television in Atlanta Olympic Broadcast (AOB) serving as Chairman of the Olympic Games Broadcast Frequency Coordination Committee (OBFCC) for the 1996 Summer Centennial Olympic Games. Following the Olympics his broadcasting assignments include 8 US Open Tennis and Golf Championships, 2 Superbowls, 5 NBA All Star Games, and 2 Olympic Games.

Michael held strategic planning roles with Turner Broadcasting Systems CNN, HLN, TBS, Cartoon Network, TNT, CNN Sports, CNN International and CNN en Espanol where he leveraged and monetized content across all platforms. At WXXI in Rochester, New York he served as the Assistant Director for “Las Noticias de Puerto Rico” covering news and entertainment for the Puerto Rican population of upstate New York.

He’s directed and produced numerous creative videos, print, radio and television marketing through his roles in Marketing and Public Relations at Gladys Knight Signature Brands and Global Concessions, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson Airport. Through his production company LIghtfighter Inc. Michael is producing Deep Cover a television series that provides veterans, first responders and their families with a dialogue to discuss PTSD and it’s effects on their everyday lives.
