Roberto Clemente
Baseball Clinics Legacy

Roberto Clemente is remembered for many things, but one area where his heart was shown most powerfully was when he was working with and caring for kids.

One of the many areas where Roberto's legacy is lived out by the Foundation is producing baseball clinics for at-risk kids.

Roberto Clemente's
Dream: Sports City

The Ciudad Deportiva Roberto Clemente, located in the municipality of Carolina, is a sports center established by Vera Zabala, widow of Roberto Clemente.

The "Sports City" complex was the genesis of a long run of successful baseball seasons featuring teams from all of the island.

This idea of reaching young people through baseball has gone global with clinics throughout Latin America and in the United States.

Baseball
the lifeblood of Puerto Rico

The Ciudad Deportiva complex covers some 304 acres of land between the municipalities of Carolina and San Juan. Vera worked with the government of Puerto Rico to secure these facilities.

The complex include a baseball stadium, football and soccer fields, swimming pool, tennis courts, athletic track and a batting practice field. In addition, it has entertainment areas, a gym and meeting rooms.

Hurricane Maria has rendered much of the complex in need of repair and your donations are needed to allow the Foundation's outreaches to continue.
