JOIN US IN BUILDING NATIONS OF GOOD
grand reserve golf club
Saturday, November 13, 2021: Roberto Clemente Foundation Golf Classic at the Grand Reserve Golf Club, in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Home to the Puerto Rican Open, an official PGA Tour Event and one of only two championship courses in the Caribbean.
The golf course was designed by PGA professional Tom Kite and overlooks El Yunque U.S. National Forest. It is composed of 36 holes, divided into two 18-hole courses: the “Championship” and the “International”.
supporting our veterans
Roberto Clemente served for 6 years as a Marine in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Today there are over 300,000 Puerto Rican veterans to whom we owe a tremendous debt of gratitude.
Many of our veterans continue to feel the after effects that Hurricane Maria had on the Island. This year's Golf Tournament will aid in supporting them through the purchase of fifty (50) 5,000 watt generators. The generators will be distributed to veterans and their living spouses who are in dire need of support.
supporting the youth of puerto rico
As we continue to "Build Nations of Good" our focus is always on the next generation. This year's Tournament will support five (5) baseball clinics for underserved youth and The Specialized Children's School Centro Educativo Fray Pedro Ponce de Leon.
The School, founded on the principals and work of the 16th century friar Pedro Ponce de Leon, is dedicated to supporting children with special needs, specifically serving the deaf and Down Syndrome communities. The Foundation will be providing building upgrades and maintenance to the School's air conditioning units, grounds, and providing equipment including sound systems, leaf blowers, and lawnmowers.
